What is Digest Alert?

Digest Alert is an AI-powered content monitoring service. You add sources (YouTube channels, RSS feeds, podcasts), describe your interests, and we scan new content to surface the most relevant matches — delivered as email digests, in-app, via Slack/Discord, or RSS.

What source types are supported?
  • YouTube — channels and playlists
  • RSS / Blogs — any valid RSS or Atom feed
  • Podcasts — any podcast with an RSS feed (searchable via built-in podcast directory)
How often are scans run?

Scheduled scans run automatically once per day. Pro and Business users can also trigger manual scans at any time from the dashboard.

What do relevance scores mean?

Each match receives a score from 1 to 10 based on how closely the content aligns with your described interests. Higher scores indicate stronger relevance. You can set a minimum threshold on your Interests page to control what appears in your inbox.

How do digest emails work?

Digest emails collect your unread matches and send them on a schedule you choose — daily or weekly. You can also set a minimum score for digest inclusion so only the most relevant matches are emailed. Configure these in your Profile settings.

What are delivery channels?

Delivery channels let you receive digest summaries in Slack, Discord, or Telegram in addition to (or instead of) email. Available on Pro and Business plans.

Is there an API?

Yes. Digest Alert has a REST API for managing sources, matches, and more. API documentation is available from the API Docs link in the sidebar. API access requires an API key, which you can create from your Profile page.

What are the differences between plans?
  • Free — Limited sources, daily scheduled scans, email digests, basic dashboard.
  • Pro — More sources, manual scans, delivery channels (Slack/Discord/Telegram), RSS feed, webhooks, per-source interests.
  • Business — All Pro features plus Ask My Sources AI Q&A, podcast transcription, and higher usage limits.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. Go to your Subscription page and click "Manage billing" to switch plans at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel from the "Manage billing" page. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — you won't lose access immediately.

Do you offer refunds?

We don't offer automatic refunds, but if something went wrong with your billing please contact us and we'll make it right. info@digestalert.com

How is my data handled?

We analyze publicly available content from sources you configure. Your interest profiles and match data are private to your account. We do not sell or share your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your Profile page. This permanently removes all your data including sources, matches, and interest profiles.
